Does it upload recordings to the cloud?

No by default. Recordings are stored locally in memory and offered for download. If you opt to export to cloud storage or share, you can provide a destination; no automatic cloud storage occurs without your action.

Is my data private and secure?

All processing is client-side. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share. If you enable cloud export, ensure you understand the platform's privacy policy; otherwise, local-only processing is the default.
