Inputs & Outputs: Inputs: fdf_file (file, FDF/XFDF), pdf_template (file, PDF with AcroForm fields), field_mapping (optional, JSON/CSV), output_name (optional). Outputs: filled_pdf (PDF file). Validation: ensure FDF data corresponds to template fields; unmapped fields are ignored or warned; missing template or invalid files return structured errors; outputs are provided as individual PDFs or a ZIP when in batch mode.
Algorithms & Calculations: Approach: parse FDF dictionary into name/value pairs; for each field, perform type-aware insertion (text, numeric, date), handle multi-line fields, respect field appearance and font embedding, and optionally flatten the form to lock values. In batch mode, apply per-record mappings and collate results.
